An idle thought...
Dec. 8th, 2005 @ 01:03 pm
I was just pondering on something that I thought may be of interest here, given our delightfully unapologetic community name. Why is it that people feel the need to sanitise their lusts? How many times have you seen or heard someone using toned-down phrases that are basically just covers for a desire to shag any given person's brains out? Examples:
* X is my future husband.
* I want to look after X.
* I want to have X's babies.
* X needs someone to understand him.
* And the worst one of all time, much beloved of teenage girls but (IMHO) inexcusable once one hits adulthood): I love X.
(Anyone think of any more?)
They're talking about people they've either never met or met briefly once or twice, and what they really mean is 'I want to screw X silly'. There's nothing wrong with finding someone sexually attractive, so why make excuses?
I think we need to start a revolution here - state your grubby-minded lusts loud and proud!
AAAH GOD I WANT TO SHAG CILLIAN MURPHY AND CHRISTIAN BALE. and Colin Firth. and Ewan McGregor. and Clive Owen. and Ioan Gruffudd. and Daniel Radcliffe.
...and those are just the british ones i can name off the top of my head. woah.
AND ALAN RICKMAN.
I want to shag Gerard Butler. If i dont shag him, i may kill...
So it would be a humanitarian thing for you to shag him, see... ;D

Exactly! By him sleeping with me, he would be creating world peace...or at least peace in my flat. In fact just to make sure i don't slip he'll have to bring in Ioan Grufford and Ewan McGregor just for good measure, and ultimately my pleasure ;-)
When your mother realizes that you own a DVD copy of _Elizabeth_ and reproaches you for buying such a Hollywoodized non-historically-accurate depiction of one of England's greatest monarchs, you can reply "Yes, but I *love* Joseph Fiennes!" I find that such an answer is less upsetting than "I want to tackle Joseph Fiennes and shag his brains out." Or at least it is in my family.
This is true, but mothers are a species all to themselves! I don't think mine has any idea just how grubby-minded I am.
